St. David?s Foundation Awards Stopgap Funding for Area Agencies
Additional grants to allay budget concerns after United Way cuts programs? funds.
(GCAUSTIN NOTE ? I don?t like to run press releases verbatim, but I think we could all use some good news today.
In July 2012, United Way of Greater Austin disappointed several nonprofits and their clients by saying it could not fulfill its financial obligation after all because of their own budget shortfalls. Thea affected nonprofits were distraught but, for the most part, understanding.
Today?s news from St. David?s Foundation is a relief. Now hundreds of people who rely on help from these nonprofits will get it. The money won?t last forever or cover all costs, but it certainly helps.)
