Google antitrust settlement delayed by FTC

Sources say the Federal Trade Commission will delay a decision on settling its antitrust investigation of Google Inc. until next year, Bloomberg reports.

Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) has offered voluntary concessions in hopes of ending the 20-month probe without a formal settlement.

That possibility sparked criticism that the FTC could fall behind European regulators on enforcement of antitrust laws.
